We love a good glass of wine, especially when paired with grilled steak or a big bowl of pasta. The thing is, most of us are probably storing wine wrong.
"White wines chilled in refrigerators are too cold, and red wines are mistakenly served at 'room' temperature, which is too warm," said Dave Collins, Master Wine Maker at Big Cork Vineyards. "For whites, 41-54 degrees is best, and for reds, 54-66 degrees is preferred." The more you know.
So what's the best way to store wine at the right temperature? An at home wine cooler. "What I most like about home wine coolers is that they hold both white wines and red wines at the correct serving temperatures," adds Collins. To store and serve your wine like a pro, here are the brands and models of wine coolers that come with a winemaker's seal of approval.
And if you're more of a beer drinker, we have picks for the best beer fridges too.
Pick your poison—you'll be able to find a spot for it in this mega-cooler. It's one of Collins' favorites for its dual zones, "which can store both reds and whites at recommended temperatures." The cooler can also store 35 standard Bordeaux wine bottles and 90 cans of beer or soda, making it one of the most spacious coolers on this list.
For a reasonably-priced unit, Collins recommends the Arctic King. But with a 34-bottle capacity for less than $200, it's a downright steal. The temperature is touch-controlled, the shelves slide out for easy access, and there are interior LED lights so you can easily see what you're picking to drink tonight.

This model from Danby is definitely the right pick for the aspiring wine connoisseur who's also on a budget. It's a single zone cooler, but that's not necessarily a con if you primarily drink one type of wine.

Maybe you've got 99 problems, but a spot to store 99 of your favorite bottles of wine isn't one of them. Allavino falls firmly on the luxury end of Collins' picks. It's for a wine-lover looking to show off their collection—or someone who appreciates the comedic potential of having 99 bottles of wine on the wall.
