Starbucks' holiday cups aren't the only thing worthy of an annual freak out: The drinks themselves deserve some attention, too. In the States, we're used to the Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte, but you've need to take a look at what baristas in other countries are whipping up this holiday season. Here are some of the Starbucks holiday drinks from around the world we only wish we could find here in the U.S.
Japan: Butter Caramel Mille-Feuille
New this year is the Butter Caramel Mille-Feuille. There is loads of texture and flavor in this drink with pie crust, custard sauce, butter caramel sauces, and a topping of whipped cream and butter caramel.
Latin America and Caribbean: Cranberry White Mocha
Starbucks uses white chocolate in this mocha and it comes topped with whipped cream and ribbons of cranberry sauce plus crystallized cranberry sugar.
Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Praline Cookie Hot Chocolate
For a rich, decadent treat, the Praline Cookie Hot Chocolate is the way to go. It's buttery and has notes of caramelized nuts and comes topped with chocolate whipped cream and cookie crumb sprinkles.
Asia Pacific: Red Velvet Oatmilk Latte
Fans of red velvet cake will love this latte combining red velvet sauce and steamed oat milk. It's, of course, topped with whipped cream and red velvet cookie topping.
Japan: Strawberry & Velvet Brownie Mocha
We can only imagine this tastes like chocolate-covered strawberries. New this year, the Strawberry & Velvet Brownie Mocha is topped with strawberry glaze and red velvet brownie crumbs.
Latin America and Caribbean: Holiday Cinnamon
This drink is blended with cinnamon dolce and topped with whipped cream and a bit of nutmeg.
Asia: Toffee Nut Crunch Latte and Cold Brew
There's not much toffee doesn't make better—chocolate bars, ice cream sundaes, coffee. This nutty latte tastes just like it and is topped with crunchy bits of toffee, too. The cold brew comes with toffee nut-flavored foam and toffee nut topping.
Japan: Joyful Medley Apricot and Mousse Tea Latte
You'll find three types of tea and dried fruits in this latte, which is topped with fluffy mousse, apricot sauce, and milk tea.
Asia, Japan, Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Gingerbread Latte
There might not be any other treat that embodies the holidays quite like the gingerbread cookie. This Starbucks latte has been around since 2000 and is available across continents—which means it must be good. It's also topped with gingerbread-flavored whipped cream and a wafer topping.
South Korea: Jeju Golden Tangerine Mint Tea
Refreshing and caffeine-free, the Jeju Golden Tangerine Mint Tea combines the flavors of golden tangerines from South Korea's Jeju Island with crisp mint tea.
Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Caramel Waffle Latte
The Caramel Waffle Latte combines warm, wintery flavors to create a latte inspired by Dutch stroopwafel cookies. You'll find spiced winter waffle sauce, caramel whipped cream, and a spiced caramel waffle crunch to top it off.
