It’s no secret: Here at Delish, we love our margaritas. We’ve got every variation under the sun, from sweet peach margaritas to spicy jalapeño margaritas to smoky strawberry mezcal. But, when we’re craving true summer vibes, these pineapple margaritas are the perfect tropical twist on the classic. Fresh and fruity with the perfect kick of tequila, this pineapple margarita will take you straight to the shore, frosty glass in hand, in less time than it takes to squeeze those limes.
What’s the best tequila for margaritas?
If you’re searching for the perfect tequila for your margarita, there’s no shortage of options. Unsure about what type of tequila to use? Blanco tequila is always a solid option (like we used here), but a good reposado would also be an excellent choice if you’re looking for an almost caramel-like flavor to pair with your marg. Feel free to use your fave brand, or check out our list of the best tequilas we tasted!
The rim.
We love the way the salt mixes with the cocktail when we take a sip, which brings all the other flavors to life…but we totally understand if that’s not your jam. It’s your cocktail—make it the way you like it! Leave it off completely, or switch it out with Tajín if that’s more your vibe.
Serving a crowd? Make this a big-batch cocktail.
If you’re making cocktails for a crowd, you can just multiply the quantities in the recipe by the number of people you’ll be serving. Pour all of the ingredients into a large glass jar and refrigerate. (We recommend no more than 4 hours, or those limes might get weird!) When you’re ready to serve, be sure to shake the jar well before pouring ½ cup of your pre-batched cocktail mix into each glass and topping them off with ice.
