40 Healthy Super Bowl Snacks So No One Has To Miss Out On Game Day
Buffalo tempeh "wings" >>>> Buffalo chicken wings.
Super Bowl Sunday (February 12, 2023) is as much about watching football (and the halftime show!) as it is about all the fun game day foods, from dips to nachos to chicken wings. If you’re following a certain diet or trying to eat healthier, though, these can instill some serious FOMO. Fear not! We’ve got tons of healthier options so everyone can still indulge. Check out our list of 40 better-for-you Super Bowl snacks—they’re proof you don’t need to “fumble” your diet to have a good time on game day.
We know health looks different to different people, so we’ve included options for every diet, like keto, vegan, gluten-free, less-processed, and even low-oil. Looking for low-carb recipes? Try our keto taco cups, our bell pepper nachos, our bunless burger bites, or our keto sausage puffs. Not anti-carbs, just looking to add more veggies to your spread? Check out our air fryer loaded zucchini skins, our Brussels sprouts sliders , our cauliflower hummus, and our fried Buffalo artichoke hearts. These options are also great to keep in mind for any plant-based football fans you might have in attendance, as are our chipotle vegan queso, our Buffalo tempeh “wings”, and our carrots in a blanket.
The thing to remember is it’s all about diversity and making sure you and your guests ALL feel like they’ve got something delicious to look forward to celebrating with if their team is winning (or drowning their sorrows in if their team is losing). After all, they say variety is the spice of life, and if there was ever a holiday to get extra spicy, it’s the Super Bowl. 😉

Spinach Artichoke Zucchini Bites
These little guys are the perfect healthy Super Bowl appetizer. As the zucchini becomes tender, the spinach and artichoke topping gets nice and melty. If you want a little extra color on your bites, switch the oven to broil on medium and cook them a couple minutes more. (Just keep an eye on them.)
Sikil P’ak (Pumpkin Seed Salsa)
We love the ease of chips and salsa, but sometimes it's fun to try something slightly new? If salsa verde and hummus had a child, it would remind us of this Yucatecan-inspired dip featuring pepitas and charred tomatillos. Trust us, its subtle smokiness will keep you coming back for more.

Air-Fryer Eggplant
When you don't feel like setting up a dredging station, your air fryer can still give you that slightly crunchy outside with the much-loved creamy inside. Plus, it only needs a little bit of oil to help all of the seasoning stick. Serve it with your favorite marinara!
