The Best McDonald's McFlurry Flavors, Ranked
Do you agree?
Fact: The best way—the only way—to end a meal at McDonald’s is with a McFlurry. We wouldn't even judge you for making a McFlurry your entire meal. The classic combo of ice cream and candy is one of the chain's best indulgences.
While McDonald’s radiates an all-American vibe from its golden arches, the McFlurry was actually invented in Canada in 1995—thanks, Canada! According to Mashed, the father of the McFlurry was New Brunswick franchisee Ron McLellan. Of his genius contribution to the world, he said, “I never expected that my creation would circle the globe with countries mixing together their own unique flavor.” What can we say, Ron? You created one winning combo.
The McFlurry did indeed circle the globe, and after reading the different flavors that are available in different parts of the world, we’re starting to save for a sort of “Around the World in 80 McFlurries” kind of trip. The UK has had the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry (pardon our gaping mouths), Japan has had the Matcha McFlurry, South Africa has had the Chocolate Lime McFlurry, Thailand has had the Tiramisu McFlurry, and Indonesia has had the Coconut Charcoal McFlurry. Until the day we can pack our bags for an “Eat, Pray, Love” journey through McFlurries, we decided to rank all the best flavors ever offered in the U.S.
Keep in mind some of these only make appearances from time to time, and some of them have been discontinued. But don’t lose hope: McDonald’s brings back discontinued flavors all the time, like the popular Butterfinger version. And on April 12, McDonald's will be introducing the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry for a limited-time only, which we're going to assume will make this list. Who doesn't like strawberry shortcake?
Now, here's a ranking of the best McFlurry flavors from worst to best.
